Structures designed and built on engineering principles, so the building stands up to demanding use over the long term.
Sole Authorised UK Dealer
EMA Structures is the official and only authorised dealer for Calhoun Super Structure in the UK, handling the order, logistics, delivery and installation of your engineered fabric structure, with site assessment, foundation design, groundworks and drainage available from the same team.
Our Strength is in Our Structure. Built on Experience. Engineered to Last.
A selection of Calhoun fabric structures across storage, agriculture, industry and recreation.
Calhoun engineered fabric structures combine a hot-dip galvanised steel frame with durable tensioned cladding, delivering clear-span space, daylight and ventilation in a building designed to last.
Structures designed and built on engineering principles, so the building stands up to demanding use over the long term.
A hot-dip galvanised steel frame protects the structure against corrosion, even in salt, fertiliser and harsh storage environments.
Clear, column-free interiors give you the full footprint for storage, handling, manoeuvring and equipment without internal obstructions.
The translucent fabric cladding lets in bright, even daylight, reducing lighting costs and improving the working environment.
Excellent natural ventilation helps control condensation, moisture and air quality across the whole interior.
Dimensions, openings, cladding and configuration are tailored to your application, site and operational requirements.
From bulk storage to recreation, Calhoun structures adapt to a wide range of commercial, agricultural, industrial and community uses.
Every Calhoun structure is engineered around durability, usable space and performance, and EMA coordinates the groundworks and installation that put it on solid foundations.
Calhoun engineered fabric structures come in a range of truss profiles to suit different spans, heights and uses. As your authorised Calhoun dealer, EMA Structures supplies and supports the full range.
Widths: 22', 26', 32', 42', 52', 62' & 72'
The Compression Coupler profile transfers load efficiently between the chords of adjacent truss segments, maximising the capacity of the profile. The compression coupler also provides highly effective welds for long-term reliability of the structure.

The Side Entry series is designed for easy access, fresh air-flow and superior asset protection, with opening widths up to 62' and heights from 10' to 35'. A sloped roof, tall back eave, optional leg heights and gable brackets make it efficient to construct and convenient to use.

The Gable design is for customers looking for an all-in-one fabric structure: additional interior height with an aesthetically pleasing look at a cost-efficient price. Standard 10' high side walls give an efficient use of floor space, while the gable-style truss arch provides greater clearance and a beautifully finished product.

The High Top series uses the same compression coupler design as the CC Series, but with larger top and bottom chords and a deeper truss. It comes standard with the individual Keder Panel System. The extra height and free-span space make unloading large trucks easy, and the design performs as a “tank” in heavy snow-load areas.

The Compression Coupler Plus profile builds on the same principles as the CC Series, engineered for larger widths and heavier loads in an economical way. With 4' deep trusses, 4″ round chords and a classic rounded arch, the CC+ profile is a robust yet cost-efficient option.

The Versatile Product design offers a distinctive, traditional look with 24″ eaves (VPe) finished in wood or steel, or a rounded shoulder design (VPr) as a practical, economical alternative. A proprietary J-purlin design, unique to the VP Series, gives unmatched stiffness and capacity, allowing larger bay spacings with fewer purlin runs for a more cost-efficient structure.

The Container Line series is one of the first fabric structures engineered exclusively for container use. Each CL building is engineered site-specific to suit your location, and can be used as a temporary or permanent solution for anything from hay storage to salt storage.
Request a QuoteAs structural engineers and an authorised Calhoun dealer, EMA Structures handles the whole journey: order, logistics, delivery and installation, and where you prefer, site preparation and foundation design too, so the structure performs from day one.

Engineered fabric structures are buildings that combine a structural steel frame with a durable tensioned fabric cladding. Calhoun structures use a hot-dip galvanised frame for corrosion resistance and deliver clear, free-span interiors with bright natural daylight and strong ventilation.
Yes. Calhoun Super Structure has confirmed in writing that EMA Structures is the official and only authorised representative dealer for Calhoun Super Structures in the UK territory. If you are buying a Calhoun engineered fabric structure anywhere in the United Kingdom, EMA Structures is the appointed route, and because we are structural engineers as well as the dealer, the foundation design, groundworks and structural verification to the Eurocodes and British Standards come from the same team.
Calhoun engineered fabric structures suit commercial and bulk storage, agricultural buildings, salt and sand storage, fertiliser storage, logistics and ports, equipment storage, and recreation or community use. Dimensions are customisable to the application.
Yes. As structural engineers and the UK's only authorised Calhoun dealer, EMA Structures handles the order, logistics, delivery and installation of the building, and where you prefer, the site preparation, foundation design, groundworks and drainage as well, so the structure is delivered and erected on a properly engineered base by one team.
Yes. Calhoun structures are built on a hot-dip galvanised steel frame for long-term corrosion resistance and are engineered to last. As structural engineers, EMA Structures provides and verifies the supporting structural design to the Eurocodes and British Standards, prepared for submission to any regulatory body, with site-specific loading considerations for your location.
A Calhoun engineered fabric building does the same job as a steel portal frame building, a clear-span, free-standing structure for storage, agriculture or industry, but the cladding is tensioned fabric on a hot-dip galvanised steel frame rather than steel sheeting. That typically means faster installation, bright natural daylight inside and strong ventilation, at a competitive cost per square metre. Our guide to portal frame buildings and the fabric alternative compares the two in detail.
Send your requirements through the contact page, including intended use, approximate size and site location. EMA Structures will assess the site and prepare a fabric building quote with the supporting groundworks and structural coordination you need.
